Simplified Scrapbooking

So, you have a baby and you love to scrapbook. Those two together can be a deadly combination on your wallet if you know what I mean, hint hint scrapbooking supplies and paper. But now that christmas is just around the corner, you need some ideas to immortalize your babys christmas in scrapbooking form. This is especially important if this is your babys first christmas, as firsts are always huge in the scrapbooking world. We will get into some ideas for your baby scrapbook, and whether or not you should start a brand new baby scrapbook, or just throw in some christmas memorabilia into your babys current scrapbook. But thats the best part about scrapbooking for your baby, the choices! And it doesnt matter if you need a baby girl scrapbook or a baby boy scrapbook, as these christmas scrapbook ideas are perfect for either!

So, if this is your babys first christmas, I would suggest maybe just going with adding to your babys current scrapbook. Why? Well, for one it is their first, and your babys main scrapbook should contain all your baby’s first in one place. Thats a main point in scrapbooking, keeping things organized. You probably scrapbooked your babys first step with pictures, so why not scrapbook your babys first christmas all in the same scrapbook? You dont have to do your baby christmas scrapbooking this way, but I would if it is your baby’s first christmas scrapbooking experience.

Now, if this is baby christmas scrapbook #2, then I wuold suggest starting your childs first christmas scrapbook, and then use this christmas scrapbook as their main christmas scrapbook for at least a few years, if not throughout their entire childhood. This way you can scrapbook all the christmas photos and memories into one book, and not have christmas scrapbooks all over the place. Plus, the more christmas scrapbooks you create, the harder it will be to keep everything together and organized. Scrapbooking is all about organization, and your christmas scrapbooking should be no different.

Now, some ideas to put to use for your babies christmas scrapbook. I would go with a christmas tree design. You will need of course christmas scrapbook paper, or at least christmas colors on the scrapbook paper you use. You could also go with construction paper, but that doesnt last nearly as long as scrapbook paper. So I would go with maybe a blue or red background scrapbook paper, then of course construct a tree out of green paper. Then what you will want to do is create ornament shapes out of christmas scrapbook paper, or you could always just buy premade christmas scrapbook templates. Either way you go, you’ll want to create ornament and candy cane shaped scraps, and then put things in them like baby pictures or the presents they got. Perfetc for a baby scrapbook! Lets face it, thats what christmas scrapbooking is really good for, keeping the memories. So make sure to take lots of photos and jot down the important things, you’ll be needing them for when you put your babies christmas scrapbook together.

Another idea for your baby christmas scrapbook would be to create a winter wonderland theme, with snowmen and penguins and what not. You can create your christmas scrapbook with your family before christmas, and then add all the photos and stuff after the fact. You’ll probably want to look online for some different christmas scrapbooking ideas, or at least to give you some inspiration on some christmas scrapbooking ideas that might be floating around in that head of yours. If you can find some good christmas scrapbook templates, you can use scrapbook paper and create your baby scrapbook themes that are similar yourself. Of course, if you’re strapped for time, you can always just outright buy the christmas scrapbook templates, as there are a bunch of places online to find them.

The nice thing about buying your christmas scrapbook templates is that you can usually digitaly  download them right away and print them off and you can have your baby christmas scrapbook under construction quickly. No more rushing down to the nearest hobby store for you christmas scrapbooking templates, which will save you time to work on your baby christmas scrapbook. The only thing you may need to get from your scrapbook store is of course other scrapbooking supplies like glue and glitter. They havent figured out how to get those scrapbook supplies download just yet!

Just remember that this is scrapbooking and it can be anything you want it to be.
