Simplified Scrapbooking

Baby scrapbooks are some of the most precious scrapbooks because you really one get one chance, and if you do it right, you’re baby will thank you when he or she gets older. I would say the best time to start scrapbooking for your baby would be the moment you know you’re expecting. If you do it that way, you can start your scrapbook from the very beginning and include things like ultrasound pictures and pictures of you being pregnant. Sometimes, the best pictures are the ones that were taken when you were least expecting it! Scrapbooking baby isnt easy!

You’re also gonna want to pick a theme. Obviously if its a boy, you’re going to want to put scrapbooking baby boy things, like dinosaurs and dump truck stickers through out the book. If its gonna be a girl, then princess stickers would be lovely. I know some parents dont want to know what they’re having, so if you’re in that boat and want to start early, just get a generic looking binder and customize it later with the correct theme. Of course, you dont always have to stick with the standard colors, blue for boy and pink for girl, but I dont think your boy would appreciate a pink baby scrapbook when he gets older As far as baby girl scrapbooking, as long as its cute, girls will usually like it no matter the color.

After you have put in all the pregnancy pictures and details, you’re gonna want to focus on the next step. Ideas for what to fill up your baby scrapbook with for the day of birth. Something we did for our son is get a copy of the local newspaper, and put the front page inside the baby scrapbook. The front page will typically have more then just the local news, and you’re kid might find it interesting what was happening in the world when he or she was born. You will obviously want to include a copy of the birth certificate, and that cool document with the baby’s footprints inside your baby’s scrapbook. The other thing you will want to include is of course the newborn picture. Now dont get me wrong, I love my babies, but I have never thought newborn babies were ever cute, including my own. But thats another story. Lets stick to baby scrapbooking ideas!

The only other section I can think of including in your adventure for scrapbooking baby, and this one will get filled in as time moves on, but the babys first section. You’ll want to record all your babys first, from first word, to the first time he or she walks. Some parents go all out and put the first time the baby grabbed something, or something like that. Me personally, I just recorded the fairly more monumental stuff in my babies scrapbooks. And this should go without saying, but you will want to take lots of photos, and stick them in when you’re scrapbooking for baby. One thing I wish my parents would have done more is take pictures of me when I was a baby and growing.

Just remember what scrapbooking is all about, making it unique. You’ll need to talyor fit these ideas to what works best for you and your scrapbooking baby. Just take lots of pictures and write down as much as you can, that way the scrapbook will have plenty of memories, making it a wonderful present for your child when they get older.
