Scrapbooking on any budget

Most people, including myself, are on a budget these days, so when it comes to finding money for scrapbooking, well, it can be a challenge sometimes. But the beautiful thing about scrapbooking is that it really can be done on neartly any budget. If you’ve got kids, then I’d bet you have the right stuff to get started. Here are some ideas for a scrapbooking budget.

So, if you really have no money to get started in your scrapbooking adventure, it’s time to start looking around your home. You should have scissors, paper, tape, and glue. If you have colored scrapbooking paper or constuction paper, even better. That stuff will help you get the base of your scrapbook. Next you will want to start cutting cool pictures or images out of old magazines or books. This will help spice up your scrapbook. Then of course you can add pictures of any type of memorabilla that you have lying around. Those kind of things are perfect for scrapbooking.

As far as scrapbooking templates or scrapbooking layouts, you can go online and either print them out or just mimic the basic scrapbooking template design. If nothing else, it might get your creative juices flowing to where you can come up with your own scrapbooking template ideas. You can also buy pre-made templates at craft stores like Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Just don’t spend too much on your layouts as you will want to save whatever kind of money you do have on the good stuff, especially when you can find pretty cool scrapbooking templates online.

So, if you do have a little bit of money, or even a lot of bit, you can get the most bang for your buck from these simple tips. First, look for sales online. You can find scrapbooking stuff for cheap or even free, that you would otherwise spend money on. Next, you’ll want to get a copy of the paper, preferably the sunday edition as it has the best coupons, you can find all sorts of cool weekly specials or coupons tha can save you a decent sum of money. Of course, if there are no sales, you can always hit up your local Walmart or Target. These stores will usually have a clearance section where you can get some pretty decent stuff for scrapbooking at dirt cheap prices.

Another good idea would to go into scrapbooking with a friend or a family member. That way you can split the costs of some of the items you will be using over and over again, like special scrpabooking cutters. Not only can you split the costs on items like these, but it will also give you a good excuse to spend time with them. And if you think scrapbooking by yourself is fun, try doing it with a friend! We’ll be coming up with some scrapbooking templates soon, so stay tuned.
